Oh i see. I'll look into the reserves or perhaps just do neither. I really appreciate all the advice you have given me. Well if I will learn everything about LE in the academy it does seem pretty pointless to get a CG major. I'll probably do a different degree that way in the future I would have alot more options for jobs just in case LE didn't work out. And I will certainly do my utmost best to stay out of trouble and avoid all of those things. Thankyou! I wish you luck as well. Have a good one!

I came here from June-August in 2009, and moved here for good in June 2010. I love it!

Good for you. I'm actually thinking about taking a teaching job in a small town next year because I need a visa and it would allow me to build relationships. I don't want to stay there, but I think of the long term goals.

awesome that's good to hear. And no i don't mind personal risk very much at all. well thanks alot for the advice. My dad is actually a professor at a university so I would could get a 4 year degree for free... but they don't have a criminal justice major so I would most likely end up doing a psychology major with a foreign language minor. do you like the military? I was thinking about doing ROTC through college so i get military experience with a college degree. do you think that would be good? thanks again for your time and i'll definitely check out that forum.

Hey Nathan I saw that you were a police officer and decided to stop by. I have wanted to be a cop since I was 8 and was just wondering some of the things you like and don't like about your job? and is it better to have a college degree or military experience going into law enforcement? thanks alot for you time.

I have an Armalite lower with a Magpul PRS stock, with a LMT MRP CQB upper, 18 inch barrel. (Lewis Machine and Tool Monolithic Rail Platform Close Quarters Battle) I have a Trijicon Reflex sight on the top, with BUIS. I'm running a single point sling. You can find a pic of it in my blog, about 2 weeks back.
