Top 5 States: Deadheat Between Oregon & Tennessee!

Sat Dec 01, 07 1:13 pm

As of December 1, 2007, the HSA membership roles indicate that the greatest homeschool alumni population concentrations are in the following states:

For a real-time report of the number of homeschoolers in each state see the following: Alumni Network Population Distribution by State

What is quickly becoming an epic rivalry between Oregon (#6) and Tennessee (#5) has reached a heightened tension point this month. Both states are now tied neck-and-neck at 97 this a stalemate, or will one state break free and overtake the other? Only time... Cool

Tennessee (#5) and Oregon (#6) are both only 3 recruitments away from earning their standing with the few states that can boast 100+ members.

The Gold Medal for greatest increase in alumni members is awarded to the great state of Texas (#3) with 13 additional graduates from November 1 to December 1. (This is a first-time Gold Medal triumph for Texas!) Missouri (#1) and California (#2) are tied for the Silver Medal with an increase of 9 graduates each. Ohio (#8 ) and Washington (#10) are tied for the Bronze Medal with an increase of 7 graduates each.

This month has also exposed a mystery. The 1 graduate from Puerto Rico has vanished. Speculation abounds, but two conceivable theories have gained the most attention. The first theory is that the solitary homeschool graduate, overcome with loneliness, immigrated to Missouri (#1) for abundant homeschool camaraderie. The second theory is purported to involve the Bermuda Triangle. Shocked

Return to this report next month to learn if Oregon (#6) will forge ahead and wrest itself out of the deadlock with Tennessee (#5) and establish its former supremacy (a distant memory?) in the Top 5 States. Who will win the Gold Medal for most graduates recruited in the month of December? Will we ever discover the true fate of the lone graduate from Puerto Rico??

Check back for all these answers and more in next month's Top Five Report. In the interval, go tell the homeschool graduates in your state about HSA. We hope to see your state next in the Top 5! Very Happy
