Reunion Host: Daniel Gardner
We are super excited to announce that Daniel Gardner will be returning to the Homeschool ALUMNI National Reunion as the official host of the 2011 National Reunion!
Born in Brazil to a family of seven, Daniel was a missionary kid who grew up juggling homeschooling, learning Portuguese and trying not to look too dorky.
For several years, Daniel and his brother Dave made humorous, family-frienly online videos, several of which garnered over a million views. Their videos can still be viewed on YouTube and their personal website ThinkGardner.com
Today Daniel lives in São José dos Campos, São Paulo Brazil where he works with Editora Fiel, a Christian publishing ministry and teaches a Sunday school class in a small Baptist church. He enjoys travel, videomaking and washing dishes. (Kinda).
Visit his blog at www.lifeschooled.com and make plans to hear him speak in person at the 2011 National Reunion!
Roundtable Discussion Host: Camden Spiller
Camden Spiller founded Homeschool ALUMNI with his brother in 2005. Camden serves Homeschool ALUMNI as Administrator.
Camden is a follower of Jesus Christ, a homeschool graduate, and the eldest of seven children who were all homeschooled by their father since the early 1980's.
At the heart of Camden's efforts to build up the homeschool graduate community is his belief that personally teaching one's own children is an inherently spiritual practice, gift, and responsibility.
In addition to his work with Homeschool ALUMNI, he has also founded several businesses that have enabled him to work from home, travel, and pursue independent studies, projects, and interests. Camden has worked as a software engineer since the late 1990's.
He currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina with his wife, Sarah, and son Henry.
Speakers at past reunions have included:
Eric & Leslie Ludy
Dr. Brain Ray / National Home Education Research Institute
