It's a mix of annoyance that the posts were considered violations and empathy that you got in trouble.

Well, they *said* they did - real ones, not girly ones, they insisted. I've not witnessed it, but I'm prone to believe it with at least 2 of the 3. If true, it makes me feel like a weenie!

not really, I'm just maintaining. I can typically do 25 or so pushups, and can manage 10-12 pull-ups. And my brother bought a chin-up bar which you can hang over a doorway, and makes 3 different holds easy to do. So that's been handy.

I'd eventually like to say I did 50 pushups, though. Considering how many girls I've come across who say they did/can do that many, I ought to be able to do so as well.

Personally I think Nightwish is at the top of the heap when it comes to that style of power metal, but there are a few similar bands I like as well. Epica is good, though I don't have any of their albums yet and so is Sonata Arctica (though they can get a little cheesy). I just ran across a group called Sirenia that looks like they might have some promise, but I haven't heard enough to say yet. I've also listened to Theater of Tragedy a fair bit and like some of their stuff.
There is a Youtube channel called Nuclear Blast Europe that has a good selection different european metal styles that I often use when I want to try something different out. I won't vouch for everything on there, but you've listened to metal before and know what to expect.

lol. So maybe it's a good thing that I've finally become jaded. Now I'm more like you in that respect.
