About Me:

At Homeschool ALUMNI, I serve as Founder/Director.

I am passionate about building up the homeschooling community for a number of reasons, but chief among them is that I've come to understand that God gave us His Word as instructions on how to live and "He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their children, that the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, that they may arise and tell them to their children, that they should put their confidence in God" (Ps 78:1-8). As best I understand it, that passage, along with Deuteronomy 6:5-25, describe (in brief) what I feel to be the Lord's calling upon my life's work: To know Him, love Him with all my heart, soul, and might... and to teach my children diligently, "so that generation to come might know."

I grew up in small town Texas, moved to Missouri with my parents in the late 90's, then moved to Nashville for a season, then spent about 5 years in Greenville, South Carolina, and now my wife, Sarah and I reside, with our sons Henry, Jack, and Weston just across the river from Portland, Oregon.

I work for Sunbelt Transformer along with my brother Mac.

When I need to get away from it all, I like to play outside, read, and visit with friends and family.

P.S. Please don't send me support requests - click here if you need help - thanks! :)

Hi! You did indeed see me there. Smile I wanted to catch up with all of you, but I had the boys there by myself that day, so we didn't hang around for too long afterward! Life has been pretty crazy lately, and has been turned upside down pretty recently. We're considering some life changes at the moment, which means even more hecticness (which spellcheck insists isn't a word and that I mean chicness)! How are all of you? I was glad I got to see your boys, even if only briefly! I didn't realize Jack was so old now. Smile I really want to make it up to Portland one of these days, so we'll have to meet up whenever that happens!

I'm in northeastern Washington but I used to live north of Seattle. But if I ever make it back over there I will definitely check out the farmers' markets.

Thanks for the blog comment. I actually have only seen the 10th anniversary version, so I can't really offer either a confirmatory or a non-confirmatory opinion.

Yeah the safety thing doesn't brother me to much either.. Most pocket pistols don't have safeties anyway.

Well weather or not the polygonal rifling is better depends if it makes it any more accurate..

The problem is even with pistols most of those are more accurate then a average shooter is.

Which one you will get will actually probably depend on which you find first Wink

The only additional thing you are paying for other then the barrel (that I see) would be a extra magazine. Which costs $40 according the Kahr site but you can probably get them for $30.

I kinda prefer all black guns myself.. So I understand that.

Camden! So fun to get your note! Thank you! I've lost touch with so many people the past couple of years, it was really fun to look at your blog here and see what you and Sarah have been up to! Congrats on the new son. Such cuties, those cousins!!! And moving from one coast to the other is a pretty big deal too! Wow! Hope everything is going very well for you and your precious family!

Yeah I can do a review on the Kahr PM9, S&W 9mm compact, and the XDm 9mm compact.

There are also a few new slimline guns out like the Springfield XDS, Beretta Nano 9mm, S&W M&P Shield 9mm and Ruger LC9 9mm.
