Hello There! Glad you stopped by. :) Not always good at filling out these "about me" sections but here goes... :)
First of all, I love Jesus so very much--He is my everything and I desire to live a life holy, and pleasing to Him.
I am a daughter, sister, and nanny for two adorable little boys! (I love my job!)
I enjoy ministry opportunities and am currently involved with nursing home ministry and a Chinese ministry in Houston teaching the children. I was also able to go to China last summer to teach English which was an amazing experience! I enjoy street evangelism, small Bible study groups, and always enjoy helping out and volunteering wherever I'm needed. I have a passion for lost souls and believe that Christ desires all to be saved.
I graduated highschool in 2008 and was homeschooled all the way through. I live at home with my wonderful family...seems like we never have a dull moment in at our house! ;) I'm 3 quarters Italian and 1/4 German. I am so blessed to have been raised by my Godly parent's who have trained us in the importance of having our own personal relationship with the Lord and serving others.
A few of my favorite things are long walks, rainy, cozy days, sunny days, adventurous days, (you get the idea. :) ) tea, pasta, cooking, baking, couponing, homemaking, reading, being with friends and family, watching old movies (especially from the 40s) or any other wholesome movie. I also enjoy blogging, jewelry making, and scrapbooking when I can find time for it.

"Lord, make my way prosperous not that I achieve high station, but that my life may be an exhibit to the value of knowing God." Jim Elliot
["Brethren, if you are ever so much taken up with any enjoyment that it takes away your love for prayer or for your Bible then you are abusing this world. O sit loose to this world's joy. The time is short." -M'Cheyne]
“Godly womanhood ... the very phrase sounds strange in our ears. We never hear it now. We hear about every other type of women: beautiful women, smart women, sophisticated women, career women, talented women, divorced women. But so seldom do we hear of a godly woman - or of a godly man either, for that matter. We believe women come nearer to fulfilling their God-given function in the home than anywhere else. It is a much nobler thing to be a good wife, than to be Miss America. It is a greater achievement to establish a Christian home than it is to produce a second-rate novel filled with filth. It is a far, far better thing in the realms of morals to be old-fashioned, than to be ultra-modern. The world has enough women who know how to be smart. It needs women who are willing to be simple. The world has enough women who know how to be brilliant. It needs some who will be brave. The world has enough women who are popular. It needs more who are pure. We need women, and men, too, who would rather be morally right than socially correct.” ― Peter Marshall
"Let thanksgiving be the habit of your life." -- Elizabeth Elliot
"A Woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ a man should have to seek Him first to find her."
"All life lessons are not learned at college; Life teaches them everywhere." (From Anne of the Island)
["God's sacred intent for you and for me is nothing short of absolute abandonment to Jesus, entire separation from the pollution of the world, and ardent worship of our King with every breath we take." ~ Leslie Ludy]
“Listen to no man who has not listened to God.” ~A.W. Tozer
"Let us see that we keep God before our eyes; that we walk in His ways and seek to please and glorify Him in everything, great and small. Depend upon it, God's work, done in God's way, will never lack God's supplies."-Hudson Taylor
God never withholds from His child that which His love and wisdom call good. God's refusals are always merciful- severe mercies at times, but mercies all the same. God never denies us our heart's desire except to give us something better. ~Elisabeth Elliot
"Seek for happiness and you will never find it. Seek righteousness and you will discover you are happy. It will be there without your knowing it, without your seeking it." -- (D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones)
"With a world starving, and with a mission field needing money, Paul never glamorized the Gospel. It's a very gory Gospel, it's a bloody Gospel, it's a sacrificial Gospel. I believe the cardinal letter of Christian is sacrifice!!! Not success... Sacrifice!!!" ~ Leonard Ravenhill
["The world is not waiting for a new definition of the gospel, but for a new demonstration of the power of the gospel." - Leonard Ravenhill]
JESUS, You are my Standard! Not the world, not even Believers, not even the basic mindset of the worldwide church...just YOU. Be our only standard, Lord. You are holiness. You are perfection. You are humility. You are love. Let us be like You. -Candace Davidson

"It's about coming to the place where nothing matters but this... knowing Christ."
"A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education." Theodore Roosevelt
"If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing Him, sharing His cares and His burdens, weeping and rejoicing with Him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in His presence...? You'd be bored to tears in heaven, if you're not ecstatic about God now!" -Keith Green
"Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your Savior, your guide? If He is, you don't need to search any further for security."
— Elisabeth Elliot
"The mark of a life governed by the Holy Spirit is that such a life is continually and ever more and more occupied with Christ, that Christ becomes greater and greater as time goes on." - T. Austin Sparks

In serving God only, and trusting His hand

He’s always been faithful to me." -Sara Groves, He's Always Been Faithful
"We must shift our interest from the seen to the unseen. For the great unseen Reality is God."
- A.W. Tozer
"Until we have learned to be satisfied with fellowship with God, until He is our rock and fortress, we will be restless with our place in this world." - Erwin W. Lutzer
"It is part of my belief that God wants to get us to a place where we would still be happy if we had only Him! We don't need God and something else. God does give us Himself and lets us have other things, too, but there it that inner loneliness until we reach the place where it is only God that we desire." -A.W. Tozer
"If you're going to be a true Christian, I'll tell you one thing amongst others: it'll be a lonely life. It's a narrow way and it becomes narrower and narrower and narrower." - Leonard Ravenhill

Hey! By the way, since this site has basically stalled, (can't contact any admins to get threads approved, etc.) There's a new forum set up recently by some of the community, where HSAers can talk and be active.
I've started several threads on there, so if you get a chance, check it out and consider joining us!
Hi Michelle! I'm new here at HSA, but I was looking though some pictures of the 2013 Reunion and recognized you in one of them. I don't know if you remember, but I met you and your family when I came to Houston several years ago to visit my friend Rebecca (née Isbell) during our Christmas break from college. Hope that you all are doing well!
Hi! It seems like forever since I saw you even though it's only been a week. I'm getting back into the swing of things. This evening, our family is attending an ECD at a friend's house. It's fun watching my niece grow up. What have you been doing besides your nanny work?
