I use coal to heat steel to 2000 degrees, then I beat on it with either a hand hammer on a 300 lb 100 year old anvil, or a power hammer that hits 200+ times a minute at 50 pounds per blow. Oh yeah! It IS fun! Haha!
Ok so there is a bit more to it than that, but that is the basis. The details are in knowing where to hit the piece, how hard to hit it, and what to hit it with, to make it go where you want it to go.

Great! Very very busy. I've upped shop production and am gearing up for a hopefully bigger better year. Lot's of hopes and dreams for 2014!

Re. blog comment: I don't agree with everything she says. In fact, I've been very pro life since I first learned about abortion. But recently I've come to feel a bit disgusted with how pro lifers treat women who have had an abortion in the past. You can't change what's done, and it does no good to hurt those who are already suffering.
