I was homeschooled from 4th to 6th grade, and then from 2nd semester in 9th to 12th grade. I was a Bible college student at Commonwealth Baptist College in Lexington, KY. The LORD has called me to preach and I am looking to be a Youth Pastor in a church (not sure where yet) and to have a special emphasis on the youth. I believe if we are to have revival, it will be from our young people. I like to read Ezra chapter 3 to renew that dream.
And in case you were wondering: I am an independent, fundamental, King James Bible, Baptist preacher. Allow me to explain.
I am independent; meaning I do not answer to anyone in a denomination concerning my beliefs, my convictions, my standards, and my God given calling.
I am fundamental; meaning I do things the old time way. I believe in Bible reading and study, prayer, soul-winning, and Holy Spirit power.
King James Bible; meaning by faith I believe that the KJB 1611 is the only inspired Word of God preserved for us in the English language. I am not a Bible scholar, but I do not need an education to tell me what God said or even "meant to say."
Baptist; meaning I go way back to the time of Christ. Let me further say, I am not a protestant because the original Baptists did not protest out of any church since they already were. I believe salvation is by grace through faith plus nothing, minus nothing. Though baptism is a step of obedience, it is not what I need to get to Heaven. There are many other reasons why I am a Baptist, but they are too many to put up on this profile. Questions? Just let me know.
Sounds too preachy? I am just letting you know where I stand.
Look me up sometime!

Hey! By the way, since this site has basically stalled, (can't contact any admins to get threads approved, etc.) There's a new forum set up recently by some of the community, where HSAers can talk and be active.
http://homeschoolalumninetwork.freeforums.org
I've started several threads on there, so if you get a chance, check it out and consider joining us!

Ah, you're fine. I'm doing great. And you?
We just got a whole bunch of snow yesterday! 9-10 inches. The most we've had this year. I'm hoping it will be the last big storm this year! So ready for Summer!

And thank you for your note! Not many people to talk to, on HSA you mean? or in real life, lol? The lines be blurry. I have noticed that too. HSA used to be MUCH busier, back in the day... er, you know... Maybe just me. I am from southern Illinois, almost into Missouri. Around St. Louis. You?

Why hello Brother David and how are you? Thank you for the note on my profile. Not a whole lot new going on this year. Gearing up for a busy spring at work, mostly. What about you? Adventures??

I have been good. I am getting ready to get very busy with school, but I am actually really excited about that. It looks like it will be an interesting semester.

Hey David! Oh my word, you live in SMITHFIELD?!?! I was literally in Smithfield a month ago....even though I'd previously lived in Virgina Beach, I didn't know Smithfield existed until we held the East Corporate Christmas party there on the 20th. Good to know that are HSAers in town to connect with when next I'm there.
My "in VA often" comment was more due to the fact that I used to live for a short time in Washington, DC, and still try to visit 2-3 times per year. Now that my company has grown into the Fort Eustis/Oyster Point market, I might be in the VA Beach area more often as well.

Haha, actually we have discussed with each other how we met, and we DO have different versions. He said he asked me out several times, but I didn't even realize it. I thought the whole time that he had a crush on a different girl! Our versions were....different, to say the least!!
