At Homeschool ALUMNI, I serve as Founder/Director.
I am passionate about building up the homeschooling community for a number of reasons, but chief among them is that I've come to understand that God gave us His Word as instructions on how to live and "He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their children, that the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, that they may arise and tell them to their children, that they should put their confidence in God" (Ps 78:1-8). As best I understand it, that passage, along with Deuteronomy 6:5-25, describe (in brief) what I feel to be the Lord's calling upon my life's work: To know Him, love Him with all my heart, soul, and might... and to teach my children diligently, "so that generation to come might know."
I grew up in small town Texas, moved to Missouri with my parents in the late 90's, then moved to Nashville for a season, then spent about 5 years in Greenville, South Carolina, and now my wife, Sarah and I reside, with our sons Henry, Jack, and Weston just across the river from Portland, Oregon.
I work for Sunbelt Transformer along with my brother Mac.
When I need to get away from it all, I like to play outside, read, and visit with friends and family.

Long time since I've been on! Figured I'd reply to your wall comment.
I still have another 4-5 years. I'm in the middle of the application and acceptance process right now. Works much like a career application with interviews and invitations.
How are you guys doing??

Sadly, no. My schedule just will not allow it at this time. I really miss the fellowship among the HSA community and really would like to attend another reunion. Guess I'll have to write a book or something to produce the income to make the trip.
