I am "complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." I am "buried with him through baptism, wherein also [I am] risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead." By God's grace, I want to "seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God" (Verses from Colossians 2).
I graduated from the University of Tennessee in December 2005 with a B.A. in English literature. In July 2006 I moved to Germany, where I served for two years as a Resident Assistant at Black Forest Academy, a boarding school for missionary kids. I moved back to Tennessee in June 2008 and spent the '08/'09 school year teaching 8th grade literature and composition at a classical Christian school. This fall, I plan to teach at a homeschool cooperative based on Charlotte Mason's philosophies and, meanwhile, to build my tutoring business.

Fiction: works of Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Thomas Hardy, Charles Dickens, George Eliot, William Shakespeare, Susan Coolidge, Edith Nesbit, C.S. Lewis, Patricia Wentworth, Wilkie Collins, Charlotte Bronte, Anne Bronte, and others.
Non-fiction: C.S. Lewis, Os Guinness, Lauren Winner, Dietreich Bonhoeffer, and historical memoirs by various authors.
Yeah, I'm kind of a book nerd. But is that so uncommon amongst homeschool grads?

Classical: Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy, Brahms, Bach.
Contemporary: I like pretty much everything acoustic and artsy. Uplifting is good too. Caedmon's Call, Andrew Peterson, Jars of Clay, Chris Daughtry, Eva Cassidy, Andy Davis, Josh Bales, Jack Johnson, and (last but certainly not least) Nickel Creek.
