'twas a mine. I actually didn't get back to the mine I was looking for. The map showed the road going back to about 1/4 mile of where it was located, but in reality, the road ended about 2 miles from the location, at a barbed wire fence that surrounded a cluster of scary looking trailers. About that time I realized I was within about a mile of where they finally captured Charles Manson...Anyway, after looking at the map again, I think I might be able to get within a mile of the mine if I come over the ridge from Lake Hughes, which will make a nice adventure for another weekend- if you're interested.

Well, I was trying to think back...I believe I originally heard about P.D. James through an article by Chuck Colson or someone on the Wilberforce Forum. I read Original Sin and a Taste for Death and enjoyed them but for some reason stopped reading her. So after I heard Myers and Ralph Wood discussing her work, I was inspired to pick it up again. Especially the way they talked about Children of Men. I haven't seen the movie, I heard it departs from the novel on several points. Have you? But after reading Children of Men, I started reading more of the Dalgliesh novels and found a new appreciation for them. I haven't heard of Anathello - I searched on Amazon and found a cd called Floating World?
